Knots Rugs x Nat Maks

An artist collaboration rooted in process, pattern, and shared values of slow making.

This collaborative collection of eight bespoke marbling and ink designs, created in the studio by marbling artist Natascha Maksimovic and reimagined by Knots Rugs as a series of exclusive hand-knotted rugs. Each design began as a vibrant, abstract marbled artwork, developed through a shared creative process that blended Natascha’s fluid ink techniques with the design expertise of the Knots team.

The resulting rugs are meticulously handcrafted in Nepal using traditional rug-making techniques, bringing a new, tactile dimension to Natascha’s patterns. This collaboration is a celebration of craft and connection—aligning both partners' commitment to slow making, thoughtful design, and meaningful partnerships. Each rug holds within it the memory of ink, water, gesture—and now, woven form.
